1st ultra-sound pictures underway....

As my wife "Leng" manage to get 1 day annual leave (working on Wesak day), i've ask her to go to the O&G doctor & settle some transaction with the bank (I need to work....ceh!). Suprisingly got a call from her when she suppose to meet me for lunch when she ended up on the Penang bridge to Butterworth..... hehe..... She had the wrong way n ended taking a round to Butterworth n visiting the Penang Bridge Toll n paid RM5.7 for the mistake (coz she seldom drive in Penang).....

Lousy mechanic

My car (satria) was suffering fever coz the air-cond was not working well. I planned to send it back to Gopeng (my wife's hometown) to fix as the mechanic there is my wife's relative. Anyway i try to do a sanity check whether its the compressor or the gas insuficient.

Finally i went to a air-cond service shop to have the mechanic look on my car's fever. As usual, they will take out a gauge meter (with blue & red gauge) to measure the high & low pressure gas pipe. I notice that my compressor is screaming (like dying......). After checking the mechanic told me that my compressor is dead & need a replacement (that is my worst case budget to fix it). So i pretend to ask him whether got open at weekend as i can come to change it (coz they never charge me for inspection).

After a week of my car having fever, i finally reach Gopeng in the weekend holiday to send my car to clinic (workshop in Gopeng). After the mechanic check there for 10min, he said its not enough gas for my aircond. I really shock to get 2 different answer from 2 mechanic & fixing $$ for the 2 problem varies from RM50 to RM300+.

Here is the tips, the mechanic "demo" to me how the compressor work with the blue & red gauge..... tips.... hehe. When the engine rev-up, the "red gauge" which represent high-pressure should go up & the "blue gauge" should go low. In theory, during high rev, ur compressor turns faster. Therefore the difference pressure in the red & blue must be bigger so that the heat inside the car can be removed to the outside (its about creating a bigger gradient in tempreture.... too technical i guess.......). Therefore if this happen, it normally proves that the compressor is still good. The mechanic even told me that my compressor is in good health..... (there is a reference in the gauge to tell..... i cannot remember the figure.....)

As a summary, i am not sure mechanics nowadays are working for professionalism or $$$.... It could be the 1st mechanics analysis fault, but i woon't be going to the same shop again (as i felt cheated). Therefore watch out for those who try take advantage of other's!!! Lucky for my pocket..... just RM50 for this visit....!! :)
